Well I had thought after I talked to Fred in July. I thought the
change in column writers was gonna be smooth.
No such
luck !
/
turned in my first column handwritten and short. That never came to be.
Column changes wasn't the only thing changing. The personnel at the
publisher were too.
When I was writing the other column. I waited till the end of the
month incase I got stragglers or last minute breaking news. No different now.
It's gonna take me some time to get back on track. Time to get
acquainted with this association. The ins an outs so to speak. If
you keep a sharp eye out. You might have seen me somewhere.
My last column writing duty lasted for 2 years. In June of this
year it ended. Then came National Days. I had talked to a few people
an told them. One fellar told me that Fred was looking to get away. So I stuck
my foot in my mouth an here I am.
Some say that they wouldn't want this job. It's tough to write.
The biggest thing seems to be to get people to get stuff in. Then there
are 3 writers. I believe that you have to vary some from the others so it's not
the same track an tree. Try to stay fresh an tell any goings on.
Then I did make calls. That's a shot in the dark. You never know
what is gonna happen. Their workin, nobody's home an
you got to talk to a machine, area code or number change an one other they can't
talk cause they gotta go somewhere. Oh yes email is similar. All in all I will
do my best. This ol track ain 't new to me
/
I volunteered because I
wanted to. Add to that, I like to write an thought I would miss it
That old track has come back. I had a dumb attack this spring. I
let all you breeders an others do the breeding. Well never kept track of Sue's
cycle. I let Dorman loose an that's how I got the 3 month old pup, Chairokey. At
this stage I have already seen things I have seen before. I call her Dorman.
Don't need no test to prove her parents. Oh yes I do call her Sue too, at times.
All in all it's gonna be interesting to see how she turns out. I'm like others
that has some age. I could use some of that youthful energy.
I did make Autumn Oaks for a day. Trying get get
exposure an maybe some info. Come to find out they had lost my info since
National Days. Harry wanted me to meet Fred but I couldn’t 't. Would have
like to. Least it was enjoyable to get away. From May to August we worked a lot
of Saturdays. That makes time fly. A couple times we went in at 4 a.m. That
makes for a short night! I did want to take Dorman an show him but another dumb
attack came. I had it in my mind to get heartworm preventative but forgot to.
Yes like $ 300 later an 2 trips to the vet. I got him cured. It never seemed to
bother him much. Had me well, concerned.
Hopefully next month I'll have the new officers.
Oh
to answer your question Mr. Dulicmer, aka Meredith Slone. Is it different than
writing for the American. Not to much. As long as I use National an don't slip
an use American. Ha
