National Redbone Coonhound Association

I got an email fro Guy Smith.  He had been to the web site. He was a man that seemed to be excited to see Old Talker an Col. Dorman Clouse.  He said back in the 80's he raised Redbone's with a friend.  He talked of how he tried to get a some info from UKC on a dog of his but they said it couldn't be found.  I tried one time to go back farther than Talker.  Only to find out that maybe a trip to look in their archives.  That's just do to the time they started keeping track.  I hope that makes sense as the words are coming out as I want them to.  He talked of his Smiths Roho Diablo as he said he has many pictures an of  hunts and such.  He really cam on when he was 2.  It sounds he like to mess with skunk and armadillo as it tried his patience.  Ain't we all been there before ?  He got him straighten out though.  He said it was 1986 that he got laid off form a major oil service company.  He lost a lot of things as well as Eagle which he called him.  He said he had him from a pup till he was 6.  He lacked one win from being a Grand Show Champion.  He says he wants to get back to hunting although he needs to get into shape.  He has a 5 year old grandson that he wants to take.  He said his wife done a tooled leather picture of Eagle.  It sure sounds that was one of those dogs that are special.

Season has been off for me.  Things haven't went like I wanted.

About mid December we got an ice storm.  The power was out for 32 hours.  The power company said it was the worse they had seen.  The power went out on a Friday.  The power company said it would be like Sunday noon before it was restored.  I slipped one day at work.  Ice was underneath the water an down I went on my side.  I went to the mail box one morning.  It was like what I think they call Black Ice.  I fell on my side an hit my head.  Lucky no traffic was coming.  I've had lots of luck an it's all been bad.

Something to keep in mind.  Jean Ramm has been taking ads for the Red book for the last couple years.  She has a way of being persistent.  I'll put it that way.  I had forgot about my ad.  Which I wanted to do a tribute to my Sundown Sue dog.  She emailed me.  So I got it in but not without frustration.  That I brought on myself.  To get to the point.  Just email Jean with your picture an info an it's done.  Cut out the Post Office.  I know they are those that push the deadline.  Yeah add me in that line too.  One other thing.  Always make sure all your info is correct when you place your ad. Please.

Well I might see you down the track some where.  I gotta get them ducks in a row.
