National Redbone Coonhound Association
I got an email from Shawn Salsman of Taberg NY. He said he had been talking
to Jim Downs about the line of hounds Dorman Clouse use to have. Jim told
him they were the fastest track dogs he had seen an they were no slouches.
He said he has a female out of Storm and Barnyard Harry dog. She is coming
along really well. Shawn's grandfather from PA use to have some dogs of
Bruce's Pokey Bill an Blakely's Northern Buck. To this day he hasn't seen as
good. He has gave up on this bloodline as everyone says it's gone. I sent
him a reply back. If anybody know of Dorman's old lines. Please let me
know.
Well have you checked out the UKC rules for the next couple years ? There
is a new hound in the mix, American Leopard. 2 night hunts must have the
same hunting time. Plus points. Dogs get shut out before the first
declared dog treed is eligible for tree points provided there are in the
time limit. If they are shut out on the tree when the judge arrives points
get deleted. Any dogs declared treed he call will be accepted as split
trees closed the call will be a split. If the dog is on the tree when the
judges comes in minus tree points. Each handler must vote or they are
scratched.
