John Ingram, said it has affected him some but still made National Days. He also said he hunted an showed at Days. Won Ch Female with Nicoles Barbie. Dangerous Dan was paired with Witchy Little Ann an won that. He said he made U.S. Days an had a great time. Barbie took GR CH Female in the red show an UKC show and Queen for National and the Redbone Treehound Associations. Dangerous Dan won Ch Male in both shows an the King of the Show for the National an Redbone Treehound Associations. Dan also took overall dog of show at American Days. It was hunt at U.S. Days he said as it was 88 on Friday night.some nice pups on the ground.they are performance registered.
Ricky Jayroe said prices have really affected what we do. Most of the time he's putting time into local club hunts. As far as hunting on the trail it has become a low priority.
Kevin Shirley said he made U.S. Days. The crowd was down as they hunted 21 dogs in the all red hunt. He can remember when the draw was over 60. He thinks gas was a big factor in the turnout. The gas price has affected the All Night crew big time. He has 2 nice young dogs now, Nt Ch Ch All Night Brush Buster 3 an Nt Ch All Night Brush buster 4. both dogs finished quickly. Buster 4 made 4 hunts with 3 first places. Buster 3 made 5 hunts wining 2 firsts and a second. He also won 3 best of shows with competition in 4 shows. If it wouldn't have happen so fast he says he don't think it would have never got done. He says by the time he tunes up dog he runs out of money to run in the weekend. Pleasure hunting use to be 3 or 4 nights a week but it's now down to 1 or 2. It has also affected the number of dogs they keep. use to be like maybe 4 dogs with a couple pups. It's all down to 3 now. " We love the sport, so we are going to hang in there an do it as long as we can. I never thought I would see the day that gas would be determining factor in where and how much I hunted. "
