Talked to Terry Green. He's about 50 miles north of Louisville KY. He doesn't
competition hunt. He farms an milks cows. So he is busy 7 days a week 365 days a
year. We talked about PKC hunts. Discussed some about AKC an UKC. He's a UKC MOH.
I didn't get it in my notes if he does shows or not. He asked if I was coming
the zone in May. I said I would have to see. He said the past two years hurt the
hunt because of American Days being the same time. This year that won't be.
Gerald McGovern was the next fellow I talked to. He's in north central Missouri.
Worst winter he's seen. He said snow an ice. He said it got like 77 an was 40
something when I was talking to him. It was heading for like 28. He hunts by
himself. Hardly got to hunt this past season. He keeps the bloodline bred heavy
to Hayes Rambling Ace. Has had some hounds outta Zack, Rusty Red. He said he had
a nice young female outta Razor Red. He had planned to take her to American days
but she died. He spent $ 800 but couldn't save her. He thinks it might have been
food poisoning. The vet told him it was Addison's disease. The vet told him she
had a very high potassium count. If she would have had more not good. He had her
granded out on the bench. Was a good hunting dog. He says usually come summer he
can be found at a local hunt. Sometimes pull MOH an Show duty. Kinda a family
affair as his wife goes sometimes an does the kitchen. He says he like to start
a dog about 20 months old. His belief is the puppy is out of them. He thinks
that you won't burn them out too. He says he shows them about 5 or 6 coons only
to expect them to show what's going on. I asked him if he knew Dorman Clouse.
Said he had hunted with him.

cut so I don't know if I get to make the rounds.
