National Redbone Coonhound Association
Well it's gonna be a short month.
Redbook ads December 1.
Made some calls Larry Trupin was busy, Vicki Adams no answer, Mitchell Howard
not available, Burgess Bryant no longer in service.
Talked to Larry Sullivan he dropped outta the competition circuit. It got to
bothering him to much. He does have a 1st an 3rd on his female. Said she had
over 100 coon last season.
Well I did have an experience. The last hunt my home club had. I had an
apprentice Andie Elburn. I don't think I showed her anything but paperwork. I
asked her how long she had been showing. Just not many years after 10. She's 21
now so you have the grasp. In the last few years she has been showing in a good
deal of the big events. This was the first time I had an apprentice that I was
familiar with. She said AKC wants her to judge the world show. I can't say when
that will be this year or next.
I would like to know if anybody knows of Redbone rescue. It seems there use to
be some. Any info would be appreciated.
How are your dues ? Kitty Brough 9068 Duff Washa Rd Oak Harbor, OH 43449. $ 15
per person or family. If you are 65 an have been a member for many many years
contact Kitty as you maybe a Life member. Never hurts to keep your information
correct too. If you have an ad in the redbook. You might want to check in the
member section to see if it's correct. It always helps when I start to look to
see who I should call.
Well that big rainfall back in August brought on Mosquito Haven. It's still been
goofy around here. To hot an dry. I have been out some. I see they have been
eating some field corn. The sweet corn has been gone for a month now.
It was hot around the UKC world hunt. The last night would have been the best I
believe. The other two it was quite warm. I had planned to go to the show but
work interfered. I thought about going but decided it really wouldn't have been
efficient.
John Wick dropped me a line back as I sent him some stuff. He says he gonna be
at Autumn Oaks again next year.
At this writing I don't know who is writing the column in the American Cooner as
Ricky Jayroe stepped aside. So you might want to keep that in mind
