National Redbone Coonhound Association
I gotta get everything in line cause everybody's coming over to go hunting
tonight. National Days is just a few days a way. So stay treed an will get the
results out to you. I almost have my Auction item done.
I talked to Wade Thuente. He said they have been getting the water out his way.
I said send some our way. He used to hit the UKC competition circuit hard but
hasn't as family has taken that place. He hopes to get back into it with his
kids. He said he hit some PKC. He couldn't recall the last time he has been to
National Days. He said he more less grew up hunting. Grew up around horses an
mules. The to go hand in hand these days as he hunts with mules. He is up close
to Minnesota. Big valleys an hills not like the rest of Iowa those rolling
hills. He said his bloodline is kinda what him an his cousin have been crossing.
Gene Krutsinger was next. Found out although he is older than me we have a
birthday in the same month. He said he has made more National Days than
American. He said they had been dry for awhile but got wet last week about all
week. One thing he said that was kinda interesting. He said back in the old days
it seemed like everybody brought their dog to breed days. It didn't make a
difference as what breed it was.
Jeff Murphy hadn't got back from golfing so I didn't get a chat with him.
Chris Snyder ring ring ring ring ring
Clemmie Hoch & Tim Gilchrest I left messages.
I'm cutting the deadline close as usual.
We have been on the warm side like 11 days over 90. We usually have 14 all
summer. Rainfall is down. Haven't had a good soaking in a long time. The grass
is tan going brown dead.
I think the game has affected the hunts some. The last hunt I didn't have a show
to judge. I can't ever remember not having at least 2 dogs. The hunt was 12
dogs. This was late June keep in mind. The price was down but not as much as we
would all like it to be.
So what's your thoughts on hearing the Master of Hounds read off the list ? I
have to watch it so I don't get confused. In the Beagle World that's the way it
has been. My mind does at times get the day from night vicea versa on the rules.
Old habit that isn't breaking to easily. I like reading the list.

I had a fellow, Roger French, stop bye for a visit. He said he seen Woodpecker
