NATIONAL REDBONE COONHOUND ASSOCIATION
Well, here it is. Its 5 0 clock somewhere Alan. They might be wondering were I
am. Shh don't tell me a Hank is in the shade catching fish like their going
outta style. Some might say I'm in a jam. Time to switch songs 2 dot Montana.
There goes Alan saying man he been way under the influence to long. Just like
ole Otis from Mayberry. Don't be adding no comments there Mr. 2.
Excuses or some other words. I really didn't have much to talk of. A couple days
ago my mind was heavy but not about dogs. Back to Doc again just this past
Tuesday same ole knee. With the same recurring condition. This time its getting
an appointment with a Kidney specialist. What good ole, I must not go any
further due to my blood pressure to rise.
I did get the low down on the gas a road construction to Brazil. As Tom told me
there is no road construction except a little bit coming back. He told me where
gas was $2.09. Kinda hard to believe hardly no road blocks. Nobody could seem to
remember my last name. Which the first is quite popular? The second well just
think John Wick. Just attach the S !! Wickes Lumber is history but you would
have to leave the E out !! Tom said the field trails were going on but he didn't
check them out.
One thing about Redbone days you take away memories. That's the biggest trophy.
You see people that maybe you haven't fer a a blue moon. Meet some new people a
plain have a good time. You might have bought something at the Auction for a
special keepsake. This will be the second year I have done dual plaques. By
having one plague at American a one at National days. This year is different
yet. I had went a bought some cherry wood at the lumber yard. I thought maybe
they would have some little stuff around. I ended up with a 9' board. I thought
the state of Kansas would be more than what it was. I done some free handing to
get the pattern right where I wanted. That cherry is fairly hard wood. Them
scroll blades should be thicker for that. Then it was back to the state of
Indiana. My pattern was on the wall from the Beagle days gone bye. Back to the
libraries copier. Pattern work so it would fit the wood I had. This year the
plagues have preceded me. I didn't make Kansas as I had a cousins wedding to go
to in Motor City. Just a few hours ago I pulled in to Imperial Trophy to settle
with Randy. Tom was in the parking lot so I said you been to Brazil yet ? Left
about 5 or 6 this mooring. Your was the first I unloaded he told me. I was just
kidding him when I asked. Randy seen me a said what day is this. I said where my
plaque? I have dealt with Randy since the beagle days of days gone bye. Like
early 90's. Then my brainstorming of the plaques over the last few years. Tom
said some looked good. Course they know I'll pull their leg as they will mine.
We get the plaque done. I did forget that one time this spring. I went in for
something
Pic. oh wait I'm writing the column. I need those 2 fellows from Hee Haw.
Singing If It Weren't for bad luck I would have no luck at all. I got them 2
pictured in my mind a blowing on that jug. Bein kinda clumsy is my
predisposition from my mother. Lastnight I fell while carrying a 8'' concrete
block. On the garage floor. Archie would say that bad but it wasnt the bad knee.
That's good. Then the doghouse base fell on top of me. If I would have been
heavier I would have said Hi Doc it's me again. I even slipped on some boards at
work. Like wonder where the black come from hangin over my head.
Todd Mathewson did show up at the local den last Friday. He said he's been in
the woods a lot but not to far outta range fer the hunts. I asked him id he
retired Kate. She's on pups now. He also told me that she the first dog he's had
that didn't go to Fireball. She came from a fellow in Pa. Not really a
competition hunter.
Janet Butcher sent me some pictures from Limberlost Coonhunters Club. They
hosted bluetick days this year. They will also hold the World UKC come Sept in
Portland, IN. I do tease her too. Says I'm to slow filling out my Bench show
reports. She was the assistant to the Bench Judge at last years NRCA days. Don't
recall which day it was either. She is into them English hounds big time. You
probably have seen her around. Shh Don't tell her I'm writing about her. Just
kidding. I aint to sure how she found me. Maybe Jean Ramm. Ahh I have seen her
only once this year. I had a club wanting be to MOH. She done the show a could
have seen my license plate. I haven't had the column writer on for to many
months. Still to find my name. Then again UKC MOH list. That could be. Just
proves if somebody wants to find they do. Thanks for the pictures Janet. I
should also mention that the hold a Redbone sectional at Limberlost. For the
last 3 years I think. I plan on attending this one coming. Providing the same
old song that I have been singing about for the last 4 months.
Well till next time. I should be here unless they fire me or a change comes. I
should have pictures a notes from Days. Stayed tuned Folks.
