National Redbone Coonhound Ass.

Kelly Haynes I tried calling you. No such luck. I tried the number in the ARCA,
NRCA an the one in Bloodlines. I got a recording each time an it wasn't
answering machine. I'm still digging to find the bone.
That old track comes back. You didn't see the column in the last two issues.
Hopefully this layoff that I'm on will be just the 2 weeks they said an not like
my previous employer. We had so much water the month of January that the rivers
starting flooding like they did in 2003.
Southern Days will be over by the time you read this. With my predictament you
won't see me there. 2 weeks off with one no pay. Of course I still got medical
bills from the kidney stone. Insurance companies are bad on my blood pressure.
Any more you gotta watch them all. All they care is about the number. If it's
wrong you gotta fight with them. Then you might be chasing your tail. I must
quit about that I think the pressure is rising.
It's the end of January as I write. I don't think I have ever seen it like this.
It seems we have had about every kind of weather this month. One exception sunny
an 70 degrees. We got a snow storm. I figured it would shut hunting down as it
would go away to soon. WRONG. The temp got to 60 some. Then there was some rain
in there. Yes freezing rain too as well as some sleet. Can't forget those tundra
temps of below 0. We did miss the last storm. We seen 5" of snow as most seem to
stay north of us an then pick up steam in the East. Now some of it has melted.
While the rest is concrete solid. Were headed to 0 or so tonight. I'm ready for
some 40's or 50's.
I have never had a pup in the house as long as I have had this one. She was an
accident. I let her run loose for weeks. Being she come not planned there was no
housing available. I have some of it built but things didn't run like I needed.
I ain't sure she will get it. Dad may get it. I don't need her to chew up the
new one. I have approached building this one differently. It will be really
nice. She is making a nice house dog to a degree. I say she is in the terrible
2's stage. She listens pretty good. I did introduce her to Tri Tronics. I'm
noticing the traits that come from mom an dad. That is interesting as I add up
one an one. She did have an experience. She stays in the basement. The sump pump
quit working leaving like 2" of water on the floor. I still got some cleaning an
looking to do yet. I did put some things on slilts. My Jerry Clower collection
of cassttes got wet. I had to dry them out. Did get some of my records, those
old 33's, wet a little. Mostly the covers I believe. She does seem to be spoiled
rotten.
Yes I'm the one to blame. She loves people. Just like her mom. Can't miss a
thing, nosey whew. Will see how things develop as time rolls on. I do understand
her some cause she is the only kid. The work hasn't really started yet.
Don't forget NRCA days. This should be the dates. I can't remember from last
July. As I run close to my deadline I haven't gotten a hold of Kelly yet. June
30, July 1 & 2 in Brazil, IN. They have held some big hunts. I believe the all
around hunt for 3 years now. It's located within 125 miles, roughly, west of
Indy. If you have never been to days. You should try as it is an experience or a
lifetime. Hunts, shows, treein contest, vendors from here an there, as well as
people from all over, an auction which proceeds go toward the redbook printing,
member meeting. That covers most of it. Providing nothing happens I'm planning
on being there. Most likely the other two writers will be too. It's a good time.
The hunt chaiman is Paul Osborne R.R. 2 Owen Sound Ont., Canada N4K5N4. So if if
your interested in holding a hunt drop him a line.
Renew those dues Kelly Haynes 24162 Gage St., Dogwagiac MI 49047. Please make
sure all or your info is up to date. Phone number, email, address. It's so much
easier to contact you insteada of huntin fer an old cold track.
