National Redbone Coonhound Association
Well, as the events roll in don't forget the time changes. That won't affect
most till autumn Oaks roll around.
January has come an went. The weather had been fairly warm as the snow melted.
Old sue found a skunk one night ugh. Then I got mad at her daughter. Young dogs
seem to have more zest an I seem to get slower
Chris Synder called me after I had the last column in. He said things were
fairly quiet. Their weather was the same as ours. He did mention that he got out
in the snow to curb cabin fever. Anybody that has ever walked in deep snow knows
it's rough. No, I don't own a pair of snow shoes either. He did say his outlook
as to what he looks for in a dog has changed. Kinda likes the smooth, easy a
laid back. Bloodline wise he don't have a preference.
I did get a call from Sonny Richardson. He thought I was writing about James
Dorman. A lady told him someone was. He wasn't sure if she was right as she is
up in years a not always correct. I emailed the other writers to see if they
could help. I told him I would see what I could do.
I tried Milton Wells but his number has been changed.
I talked with Kenneth Pickin. He has been in the hospital but out now. The
winter has been fairly nice down in Virginia. Maybe one week of bad weather.
Mostly 40' an 50's. He is gonna try a make Southern days. He says his wife shows
red. But other than that it has been quiet for him.
One thing bad about the weather. If it sets in so long you get into a rut. Well,
no hunting tonight. Then It seems the same night after night. You get the itch
once in a while but as I'm older I get an idea as to what it's gonna be like.
Then red gets soft a that factors in.
Hey I need info of any kind. Pictures are gladly accepted too. If you send me
pictures. Please send them normal. I got Darren Gher picture but am having
trouble printing it out. If you have gotten online give me an email.
How do you stand with your dues? Remember to keep your info to the date.
